Hotline for disaster recovery problems

HOUMA – Fed up with FEMA? Lacking key services?

You can make a call to report problems or gaps in disaster-recovery programs.

The number is 866-9-TIP-DAP. It is run by the Disaster Accountability Project, a nonprofit group that bills itself as a watchdog for the nationís disaster-recovery systems.

There’s no direct help coming from the 24-hour, toll-free hotline, but the group does track problems and alert the public and relevant agencies.
