Marcela Cristo is a recognized leader in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, and stakeholder engagement, with over two decades of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, boards, and cross-sector coalitions across Latin America and the US. She is the founding partner of ESG Positive Impact, a boutique advisory firm that helps organizations integrate ESG into core strategy, unlock business opportunities, and build resilience for climate and community impact.

Marcela served for over eight years on the Board of Cerveceros de Mexico, the national chamber representing Mexico’s brewing industry. There, she championed sector-wide initiatives on environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and sustainable value chains, helping shape national public policy and industry standards.

She previously held senior leadership roles at AB InBev, where she led transformative initiatives in renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable finance, and ESG risk across global operations. Her work has resulted in measurable reductions in emissions, scalable community enterprises, and pioneering volunteer engagement models.

Marcela has also advised non-profit organizations advancing different Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), bringing her private-sector expertise to the design of high-impact, community-driven initiatives.

She has been named one of Forbes’ Most Powerful Women for three consecutive years, in recognition to her leadership and impact in the sustainability space. She is a graduate of executive education programs at Stanford University and Wharton School, where she focused on sustainability and corporate reputation.
